Al Quattlebaum was born in the great City of The Bronx and currently lives in Co-op City in the Northeast section of The Bronx with his lovely wife Gail and daughter Asiah. Al is a community leader and is presently the president of See Us Rise Above. This non-profit organization helps people realize their potential in business, education, and self-care. Al is also a talented soul-chef and griller who enjoys giving people the joy of great food. Al founded Big Al’s Soul & Catering, which had to close its doors due to the pandemic. However, Al found a way to stay close to what he loved, as he and his team were able to provide food to over 5,000 families a month during the pandemic. After speaking with people around the community, Al decided to run for the New York State 82nd Assembly, in which he lost, but he did not allow that loss to keep him down. Al understands how to win and will continue to fight for people in his community and beyond.
When I'm not at work, Al loves to cook. Cooking is more than a hobby for him; it’s therapy. Al also loves spending time and traveling with his family. When time permits, he will play video games. Al is a big kid at heart.
